I have to introduce myself to you. I am Dr. Ariston P Awitan, a physician by profession, an orthopedic surgeon by specialty (retired), a network marketer by choice. I was born and raised and trained as orthopedic surgeon in the Philippines. I emigrated to the United States in 1965. To qualify for the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, I took the residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Martland Hospital, New Jersey College of Medicine , in Newark,,N.J. from 1969 to 1972.
I was certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 1973, then became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. I went into private practice as orthopedic surgeon in Pasadena Texas, Southeast part of Houston from 1972 to 2005. I served in the USArmy as a Reserve Officer with a rank of a Major in the 1980’s and was honorably discharged in 1985. For my physical fitness, I became a Black belt in TaeKwonDo (Korean karate) and Blue belt in Arnis-KaliSilat (Filipino Stick-Fighting Martial Arts). I am a believer of nutritional supplements and got interested in Free Radicals and Antioxidants. Because I believe in the wisdom of building a Residual Income, I became a professional network marketer starting in the 1980’s. Now that am am retired from my orthopedic practice, I am devoting my time in helping network marketer become healthy and become financially free. I have mission during the final stage of my life to give back something significant to my old country. I want to help equip the charity hospital in Manila Philippines, the Philippine General Hospital which serves our poor population who could not afford private medical care. I also want to help fund the Professorial Chairs of the Basic Sciences of my old Alma Mater, the College of Medine, University of the Philippines and continue to help fund the seminaries that educate priests and missionaries to the unchurched parts of the world, to spread the Good News (Gospel).
